Workshops
A major part of advocacy and supporting our community can be done through educating the public in schools, workplaces, and at community events.
ROSE's large and diverse membership and volunteer team gives us the capacity to speak and provide workshops on various topics related to our mission and mandate, and our Facilitation Working Group is always happy to work to determine your specific needs in preparing a workshop for you.
Workshop & Speaking Capacity Areas
Our capacity to educate includes the following topics:
2SLGBTQIA+ Inclusion
Creating Safe(r) Spaces
Creating Trans Affirming Spaces
Gender Identity, Gender Expression, Sexuality, and Sex
Transitioning: Social, Legal, Medical
Developing Advocacy Capacity
Workshop & Speaking Fees
The knowledge and lived experiences of 2SLGBTQIA+ people is a hard-gained and cherished resource of our community, in recognition and respect of that fact we do ask a small public education fee, based on your requested workshop or speaking engagement.
The volunteer that provides your workshop or speaks at your event will receive a majority of the fee paid, with the rest being put towards our support services and social programming.
If you're interested in having a workshop at your school, club, business, or event, contact us at outreach@roseottawa.org!
